Feelingontrack brings 20+ years of hands-on programme leadership to organisations navigating complex technology change — across SaaS delivery, card payments, retail technology, and financial services. Available for senior contract engagements and consulting assignments in the UK and remotely for US clients.
Whether you need a senior contract PM to embed in your team, or an independent consultant to shape and govern a complex programme, Feelingontrack brings the technical depth and delivery experience to get it done.
Senior TPM/PM resource for complex technology programmes requiring deep hands-on involvement. Experienced across the full delivery lifecycle — from initial discovery and vendor selection through to deployment, hypercare, and handover.
Independent consultancy for organisations planning or recovering complex technology programmes. Provides an objective view on programme health, risk posture, and delivery approach — with practical, workable recommendations rather than theoretical frameworks.
Strategic guidance on technology programmes with significant compliance, security, or regulatory dimensions. CISSP-qualified and a former PCI DSS QSA — a rare combination that brings both delivery and security credibility to engagements in card payments and regulated industries.
The difference between a programme that delivers and one that drifts is rarely the methodology — it's the quality of the person running it. Here's what makes Feelingontrack different.
A selection of high-complexity engagements that illustrate the kind of programmes Feelingontrack is built for.
Challenge: Inherited a failing POS software replacement programme with a collapsed delivery model, an unresponsive local partner, and a major Italian retail client at risk. The programme had no functional governance structure in place.
Restructured the delivery model from the ground up. A pilot store in Milan was successfully deployed, restoring client confidence and establishing a stable foundation for potential further rollout across Italy.
Challenge: The regional payments certification team were taking 18 months instead of the target 6 months to complete certifications, directly impacting market expansion and sales revenues. Executive leadership were considering outsourcing the team entirely.
Certification timelines for complex certifications reduced from 18 months to 4 months. One team member received a global award and two received regional awards. The team themselves recommended tightening the P1/P2 issue target from 30 to 10, having exceeded it consistently within six months.
Challenge: Tier 1 retailer with a very large estate of stores and chip & PIN devices needed to become PCI DSS compliant. An initial internal programme had failed. Investigation revealed the cost of securing the existing payments infrastructure internally was twice the cost of an outsourced P2PE solution.
Successful RFP resulted in the purchase and deployment of 10,000+ PEDs using a P2PE solution. Alliance Boots became one of the first UK tier 1 retailers to roll out contactless payments — a significant commercial benefit given average transaction values below the contactless limit. Full knowledge transfer of the end-to-end payments process delivered to in-house architects and business analysts.
Challenge: Alliance Boots operated an in-house centralised payment processing system across two data centres located on a potential flood plain. The cost of PCI DSS compliance for the data centres was estimated at twice the cost of outsourcing. A senior operations lead was strongly opposed to outsourcing to a PSP.
A director-led decision meeting agreed to outsource after detailed As Is process analysis and a full RFP demonstrated the outsourced solution met — and often exceeded — all must-have requirements, with a cost saving of £millions over five years. Centralised payments processing successfully outsourced to ACI.
Challenge: A programme to migrate the company's online website and payments to Azure had an InfoSec workstream with no experience, no requirements, and no plan for achieving PCI DSS compliance. Two previous InfoSec architects had resigned in frustration. The workstream was months behind schedule and being treated as an afterthought by the broader programme.
Took over the stalled workstream and, working with a new InfoSec architect, delivered PCI DSS compliance for the new Azure-hosted website within the aggressive overall programme timeline — despite the added complexity of a significant proportion of delivery resources being based in India.
Challenge: An internal attempt to upgrade store card payments systems and achieve PCI DSS compliance had failed. The business was under increasing pressure from their main acquirer to comply. Existing payments knowledge among architects and business analysts was poor, and only 10 high-level requirements had been defined.
PCI DSS-compliant card payments solution deployed across stores (~3,000 PEDs including Verifone Vx820) with contactless introduced for the first time, plus significant additional payment upgrades covering gift cards and Click & Collect. Automated card payment reconciliation implemented using AutoRek. 10 high-level requirements expanded to 180 detailed requirements, with full As Is and To Be process mapping completed.
Feelingontrack is the independent practice of Branko Lolich, a Senior Technical Programme Manager and IT Delivery Consultant with over 20 years' experience delivering complex technology programmes for blue-chip organisations across retail, financial services, card payments, and SaaS.
Branko's approach is built on a simple belief: the best programme managers make themselves genuinely useful to the people building the thing, not just the people reporting on it. That means technical involvement, honest risk assessment, and a relentless focus on removing the blockers that slow teams down.
